We are pleased to inform you that PHD Chamber jointly with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) is organizing a Seminar on “Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace and Contract Labour including Fixed Term Employment – Issues and Concern” on Thursday, 31 May 2018, at 2.30 pm onwards, at PHD House.
Dr Lalit Bhasin, Managing Partner , Bhasin and Company and Chairman, Law and Justice Committee, will deliver key note address the Inaugural session and Technical sessions will be addressed by eminent advocates in the field of Employment Laws i.e. Mr. Alok Bhasin, Ms. Priya Khanna, Ms Raabi Birbal.
Now a day’s Sexual Harassment and Contract Labour are burning issues. The seminar will focus on viz i) How to deal with cases / complaints of sexual harassment; ii) How to draft organization policy on prevention, prohibition & redressal of sexual harassment; iii) How to form Internal Complaints Committee-mandatory in law of 2013; iv) How to organize orientation program for Internal Complaints Committee Members; v) Enquiry procedure for sexual harassment complaints; vi) What constitutes sexual harassment at workplace - meaning as per 2013 law
Also Contract labour has become integral part of industry and in the present competition where there are always uncertainty, operation of industry is impossible without employment of contract labour. The subject will be discussed under the heads viz i) Government’s Perspective in Implementation of Contact Labour; ii) Applicability of Labour Laws and Impact of Judgements; and iii) Management of Contract Labour – A Challenge to Industry. Further how to employ workers on Fixed Term Employment - issues and concerns , how to deal with them in industry.
The participation fee is Rs. 1000/- (Rupees One Thousand Only) per participant, payable to “PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry at New Delhi”.
The program has been vigilantly crafted for HR & Legal Heads, Leaders, Managers and Executives, Accounts Executives, Advocates, Legal Executives etc. responsible for building conducive workplace for employees across levels and the ways & means of dealing with such situations. The Session would also be a great learning experience for faculty members so as to enable them to understand the practical implications of the above Acts. Programme will specifically deal with compliance by organizations at their end.
