PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry has taken a unique initiative to organize a 2-Day Conclave of businessmen and aspiring entrepreneurs, beginning 28th of April at Gulmarg to appraise to investors and other States of the Indian Union about its hidden potential of economic and business engagement so that industrial activities recommence in different parts of the State for its overall economic and industrial development.

The Chamber President, Mr. Anil Khaitan along with his 40 fellow businessmen have already left for the Kashmir valley to organize the Conclave in which entrepreneurs, representing 18 States are able to suggest ways and means for the economic uplift of the J&K and many other states in the Indian union know of it and gradually participate in the industrial development of the State.

Mr. Khaitan has led this unique initiative and flown away to Kashmir with his 40 fellow businessmen in which States such as Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal, Chhattisgarh including Delhi are largely represented.

States such as Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and the like are also adequately represented to explore possibilities for the economic and social uplift of the entire Kashmir valley with entrepreneurs having affiliation with PHD Chamber would make their respective presentations and suggest prospects for the government of J&K and the Centre as to how economic activities can recommence in the State in the present context with its aspiring youth becoming its part, said Mr. Khaitan.

The PHD Chamber, according to him is the only national apex Chamber that has contemplated this initiative and already met the key policymakers including the Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir in the recent past expressing its desire to make serious efforts for the uplift and social integration of the Kashmir valley.

The PHD Chamber is of the view that Kashmir which is news for wrong reasons and the Chamber would want that its hidden potential is explored through initiatives like this in which aspiring entrepreneurs assemble at different parts of the valley and come out with pro-active suggestions and initiatives so that vibrant economic activities resonate in the paradise of the earth and its alienation gradually comes to an end.
