No.PR-186 July 30, 2020 New Delhi Chhattisgarh Government goes all out to promote Investment in Manufacturing in Electronics Sector, offer Plug & Play Model PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chhattisgarh State Chapter and ICT & Electronics Committee, PHDCCI, organised a Webinar on “Investment Opportunities in Electronics Sector in Chhattisgarh” today in collaboration with Government of Chhattisgarh. Delivering the inaugural address Shri Sanjay Aggarwal, Sr. Vice President, PHDCCI informed about the significance of Atman Nirbharta in Electronics & Telecom sector, considering the geopolitical situation and complimented Govt. of Chhattisgarh for starting Electronics Manufacturing Cluster in Naya Raipur. Shri Aggarwal said that the current Covid situation has proved the importance of electronics. Dr Ajay Data, Chair, ICT & Electronics Committee, PHDCCI, in his address said that there are many components that need to be manufactured in India; this is a good time to invest in the EMC sector. Mr N.K. Goyal, President, CMAI Association of India & Chair, Emeritus, Telecom Equipment Association of India, in his address appreciated the initiatives of Chhattisgarh Government to promote EMC in the state. He said there are many investors who want to come and invest in Chhattisgarh. The Chief Guest, Shri Manoj Kumar Pingua, IAS, Principal Secretary, Department of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of Chhattisgarh, in his address stated that the State Government’s vision is to have first of its kind “State of the Art” equipped Electronics Manufacturing Cluster in Central in India at Naya Raipur. Naya Raipur is the 1st Smart Greenfield city of 21st Century, so only non-polluting industries are allowed, he said. Chhattisgarh State has unmatched potential and limitless opportunities , he added. He invited PHDCCI members to invest in Chhattisgarh and take maximum advantage of various schemes. He thanked PHDCCI for organizing such an interactive webinar. Mr P. Arun Prasad, IFS, MD, CSIDC, comprehensively presented the schemes through Power Point presentation. He gave the pertinent differentiators of Chhattisgarh Government to sensitize investors to come and invest. Mr Shashank Rastogi, Chair, Chhattisgarh State Chapter, introduced the speakers of Chhattisgarh Govt. and reiterated his commitment to work closely with CSIDC. Mr Kunal Singhal, Co-Chair, ICT & Electronics Committee, PHDCCI delivered the Vote of thanks. Dr Jatinder Singh, Director PHDCCI extended the opening remarks and moderated the technical session and conducted the Q&A Session. More than 50 industries participated in the webinar.
