PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry congratulates Dr Abhijit Banerjee, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, USA, Dr Esther Duflo, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, USA and Dr Michael Kremer, Harvard University, Cambridge, USA on receiving the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel 2019, for their experimental approach to alleviating global poverty.
While appreciating their transformative work in the field of research, Dr D K Aggarwal, President, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry said in a press statement issued here today that the research findings would go a long way to improve the ability of the world to fight poverty.
The introduction of a new approach of breaking big questions on poverty into smaller, more precise questions for obtaining reliable answers about the best ways to fight global poverty is highly inspiring, said Dr D K Aggarwal.
Their innovative approach to alleviating poverty has a great potential to improve the lives of the worst-off people around the world, said Dr D K Aggarwal.
