Ranchi to witness a Global Skill Summit on 10th of January 2019
Hon’ble Governor Mrs Draupadi Murmu, along with the Hon’ble Chief Minister Mr Raghubar Das will inaugurate the Global Skill Summit on 10th of January 2019 in Ranchi. The Summit remarkably sets to host decision-makers, including senior government functionaries of the State and centre and captains of industry, representing multiple industry segments.
The Summit will also witness impressive international participation through the esteemed presence of Ambassadors & High Commissioners, Trade Counsellors and Ministers (Economic) from about twenty countries. Their presence will ensure concurrence of best practices and taking Jharkhand’s success stories in skilling, employability and industrial development to the world and further enabling state – to scale-up Skill Ecosystem for harnessing the base of inclusive growth through pro-people policy planning and implementation on ground.
Moreover, the Summit will have in attendance the hosts of experts from different sectors who will participate for supporting the Government of Jharkhand’s efforts for socio-economic transformation in State of Jharkhand.
In a statement issued here today, the CEO of Jharkhand Skill Development Mission Society (JSDMS) the nodal agency anchoring all skilling initiatives of the State Government and organizing the Summit with other concerned State Government Departments, Mr Amar Jha said, “It is in public reckoning, how over the years Jharkhand has been keeping the skilling of its youth at the forefront of development activities with an aim to establish the state as a “Skill Hub of India.”
In tandem, the Global Skill Summit 2019 is expected to attract participation across the domains in skill development and employability and letting the world know about the “History in Making” through 100000 jobs already offered by the Government of Jharkhand to its skilled youth and celebrating it for further inspiring all the stakeholders.
“The Summit will also offer a unique opportunity to understand the promising potential of Jharkhand in various sectors as the participants will have sufficient opportunities to interact with the policy-makers, skill providers, employers and industry and trade captains from across the world as galaxy of such experts are going to assemble for Global Skill Summit,” added Mr Ravi Ranjan, Managing Director.
Noticeably, the previous edition of Skill Summit 2018, Momentum Jharkhand made big positive impacts as well with which about 26000 job offers were given to the skilled youth from the state in the Private Sector. The Summit created a benchmark in the skill ecosystem of the country.
Government of Jharkhand, in its endeavour to promote employability and entrepreneurship among youths of Jharkhand and also to provide them a focused platform with concerned stakeholders from industry, government and key international trade representatives will get supported in its mission to achieve the inherent objectives.
The leadership of Government of Jharkhand acknowledge the fact that Jharkhand’s youth stand out as a hardworking, ethical and committed workforce, delivering much higher efficiency and productivity to the employers, than expected from them. It is the state’s endeavour to place Jharkhand as a Skill Hub of the country in the next five years and a destination of choice to meet Industry’s manpower requirement. Ends.
