PHDCCI Facilitates Largest Number of Centres for VC
In a unique interaction with representatives of commerce and industry including that of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) here on Monday through video conferencing with Union Minister for Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation, Mr Suresh Prabhu, the Chamber provided for 14 different locations across the country to enable the Minister share his reflections on current trends which are shaping the macro policies of the government for higher internal and external trade including enhanced FDIs and growth in general. These locations consist of sites of PHDCCI’s offices in Delhi, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Lucknow, Ranchi, Raipur, Bhopal, Guwahati, Cochin, Hyderabad, Patna, Dehradun, Baddi and Srinagar in J&K.
The Senior Vice President and Vice President, PHDCCI, Mr D K Aggarwal and Mr Sanjay Aggarwal along with its several prominent members and Past Presidents were also present on the occasion, said the Secretary General, PHDCCI, Dr Mahesh Y Reddy in a statement issued here today.
The Minister appreciated the issues raised by the Chamber on different verticals of industry including Micro, Small & Medium Industries (MSMEs) well in advance and assured solutions and policy direction for addressing these since the Chamber has larger representation of MSMEs segment.
Significantly, in the times when the trade terms are increasing privy to conservatism in unprecedented way, the global integration of businesses is facing hurdles at the governments and regulators ends. The Indian economy, being one of the fastest growing in the world, is particularly facing the challenges with the shift of pattern in globalisation.
The Minister addressed on crucial matters and concerns and assured the Indian industry, trade and businesses about ensuring a level playing field for business in all sizes and keeping them globally competitive through the policy provisions and required administrative measures.
