PHD Family Welfare Foundation celebrates virtual International Women’s Day with Astitva Samman Awardees
PHD Family Welfare Foundation’s Women & Child Committee organized a webinar on the occasion of International Women’s Day on 5th March, 2021. The eminent speakers for this occasion were–Ms Deepikka Jindal, Managing Director, JSL Lifestyle Ltd, Ms. Kavitha Chandran, Managing Director, Premium Evolvics Pvt Ltd, Ms Nitu Bhattacharya, DIG, Northern Sector, CRPF, Ms. Rama Kirloskar, Managing Director, Kirloskar Ebara Pumps Ltd and Miss Pooja Jhaver, Chairperson, Nirmal Bhartia School who were previous Women Astitva Samman awardees.
The program commenced with National Anthem and Lamp Lighting Ceremony followed by welcome address by Ms. Anuradha Goel, Chairperson PHDFWF & WC Committee followed by Virtual felicitation of all the speakers.
Shri Sanjay Aggarwal, President, PHDCCI in his Presidential address highlighted the importance of celebrating the massive contribution of women in every sphere of life and congratulated the keynote speakers for excelling in their respective professional arenas and for sharing their experience.
Ms. Deepikka Jindal, spoke about her professional journey in the art of stainless steels. Ms. Jindal shared the importance of three pivotal aspects – “Being yourself’, ‘don’t copy the men’ and ‘Giving back to Society’ which were crucial in her life.
Ms. Kavita Chandran shared her professional experience over the years and her initiatives of specialising her family business.
Ms. Nitu Bhattacharya appreciated PHDFWF’s initiatives in the health sector, especially in the times of COVID-19 Pandemic. She focused on the ‘Journey of togetherness” which is pivotal to build a better world.
Ms. Rama Kirloskar shared her enriching experience of handling different operations in her company. She emphasized on the significance of diversifying one’s skillset which helps in expanding into different areas. The importance of increasing the women workforce in manufacturing unit was also highlighted by her.
Ms. Pooja Jhaver, expressed her views on designing holistic learning systems and a collaborative culture for children for learning. She talked about the importance of encouraging and enabling every child to be his or her own change making hero.
Shri Pradeep Multani, Sr.Vice President, PHDCCI, in his special address congratulated the keynote speakers for their dedication and robust spirit in their professional fronts and wished all the women participants on the of International Women’s Day.
Shri Saurabh Sanyal, Secretary General, proposed the formal vote of thanks to keynote speakers for enlightening the dignitaries and the audience with their experience and expresses his warmest thanks to all for being a part of this special webinar.
On the occasion of International Women’s day, to celebrate the spirit of woman, PHD Family welfare is taking the initiative of organising a one-week health check-up camps in different specialties for women and children in resettlement areas of Delhi/NCR. Free distribution of sanitary pads to girls and women will also be undertaken.
