PHDCCI and Stree Shakti – The Parallel Force sign MOU for Women Leaders’ Conclave 2025 in Jammu & Kashmir

 

NEW DELHI: Taking another step in its efforts to empower women, the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with non-government organisation (NGO) Stree Shakti – The Parallel Force (SSPF) here on September 26. The purpose of the MOU is to spread awareness about Women Leaders’ Conclave 2025 which is going to be held in Jammu & Kashmir from April 7-9, 2025. The Conclave will focus on fostering leadership and capacity development among women, with an emphasis on their participation in economic, social, and political spheres.

The MOU was signed by Dr. Ranjeet Mehta, CEO & Secretary General, PHDCCI, and Ms. Rekha Mody, Founder & President, SSPF, in the presence of Mr Vivek Agarwala, Member of the Managing Committee and Chairman of Industry & Policy Affairs Committee of PHDCCI; Dr Nirja Mattoo, Co-Lead, SSPF and network partners of the two organisations. The partnership aims to build a robust support system for women leaders, providing them with the skills and resources to thrive in their respective fields.

Emphasizing on the significance of this initiative, Dr. Mehta said, “PHDCCI is committed to creating opportunities for women entrepreneurs and leaders. This partnership with Stree Shakti will pave the way for meaningful dialogues and collaborations that can drive much needed policy change.”

Thanking PHDCCI for extending its support through the partnership, Ms Mody said, “Our collaboration with PHDCCI is a vital step towards empowering women across all sectors. The Women Leaders’ Conclave will serve as a beacon of hope and progress, especially in the context of Jammu & Kashmir, where women’s leadership will play a transformative role in societal development.”

The Conclave will feature interactive sessions with women leaders, stakeholders, and organizations from both national and international platforms. It will also provide a space for discussions on improving women’s access to leadership roles, resources, and skills, contributing to their overall empowerment.
