Modern technology to revolutionize the Indian industry, from startups to conglomerates, says panel of industry leaders at the 119th Annual Session of PHDCCI

10th October 2024, NEW DELHI: Discussions with the industry leaders were held at the 119th Annual Session 2024 of the PHDCCI, the session being a knowledge sharing platform. The business leaders were speaking in the sessions on Fireside with Shri Sunil Kant Munjal, Chairman, Hero Enterprises & Shri Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Founder & Executive Vice Chairman, Info Edge (India) Ltd (Naukri.com) and panel discussion centered on “Vision to Venture”, chaired by the panelist, Dr. Garima Sawhney, Co-Founder, Pristyn Care, Mr Varun Alagh, Co-Founder & CEO, Mamaearth (Honasa Consumers Pvt. Ltd.) and Mr Ishpreet Singh Gandhi, Founder & Managing Partner, Stride Ventures.

Shri Sunil Kant Munjal said that this is the phenomenal time to embrace the opportunity to turn the youth to valuable resources, and embrace technology as a great enabler and multiplier, driving India’s inclusive growth. Start-up ecosystem will generate employment and there is a need to strengthen the policy ecosystem further, he said.

Shri Sanjeev Bikhchandani emphasized key factors driving India towards Viksit Bharat@2047 include further reduction in regulatory compliances and increasing availability of capital further, thereby nudging the forces in the right direction.

Dr. Garima Sawhne
y  said that Artificial Intelligence along with health and youth are the future. Consumer is everything for the businesses and core values of business have to be very clear and strong, she said.

Mr Varun Alagh said that there is a large scope of safe healthcare products in India and expressed bullish sentiments for the personal care industry in India. Women driven workforce and strengthening R&D should be focussed in the coming times, he said.

Mr Ishpreet Singh Gandhi highlighted that last mile financing is important and large capital is flowing to India under climate technology. New age businesses and startups are performing well in India, he said.
