IIP grows steady: PHDCCI
Supported by the 6.5% growth of the consumer durables the IIP for September 2024 grew steady at 3.1%, said Mr. Hemant Jain, President, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
IIP improved significantly from (-)0.1% in August 2024 to 3.1% in September 2024, said Mr. Hemant Jain.
Within the manufacturing sector, top three positive contributors for the month of September 2024 are, Manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (5.3%), Manufacture of basic metals (2.5%), and Manufacture of electrical equipment (18.7%), said Mr. Hemant Jain.
Going ahead, we expect the IIP to remain steady on the back of strong economic activity in the country, said Mr. Jain.
