Amid uncertain geopolitical conditions and tariff escalations, India’s total exports surged by 5.5% in FY 24-2025: PHDCCI
India’s cumulative merchandise exports registered a y-o-y growth of 0.8%, increasing from USD 437.07 billion during FY 2023-24 to USD 437.42 billion during FY 2024-25. This resilient growth is driven by double-digit growth in exports of products like coffee, pharmaceuticals, electronic goods, marine products and jute products, among others, said Shri Hemant Jain, President, PHDCCI, in a press statement issued here today.
Remarkably, India cumulative services exports registered a high growth of 12.45%, during FY 2024-25 over FY 2023-24, accelerating the overall exports growth, he said.
Given the significant initiatives undertaken by the government including the announcement of the Export Promotion Mission in the Budget 2025-26, diversification of export destinations and actively negotiating free trade agreements, we expect continued momentum in exports trajectory, he said.
