PHDCCI WELCOMES CONSTITUTION OF EXPERT COMMITTEE TO STRUCTURE BOTTLENECKS AND FACTORS AFFECTING MSMES
President, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr Rajeev Talwar on Thursday complimented the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for constituting an Expert Committee on MSMEs, headed by former SEBI Chair Mr U K Sinha to address the structural bottlenecks and factors affecting the performance of MSMEs.
Mr Talwar described “the move as the most appropriate and in right direction” under prevailing squeezed credit regime for MSMEs, explaining that the Chamber had been highlighting the issue of stressed liquidity for micro, small and medium enterprises for quite some time as it is largely on account of this factor, the overall performance of MSMEs is not according to their potential.
The President of the Chamber also highlighted the fact that the PHD Chamber which hugely represents the MSMEs within the industry association welcomes the decision of the RBI, praising that right people with expert domain knowledge of the subject has been assigned with the task of identifying and understanding the structural bottlenecks of the sector, exuding confidence that its recommendations would come earlier than anticipated so that their implementation leads to betterment of the sector.
