Webinar on Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act- “IC & Employers: Building Synergies and Trust
The HR & IR Committee, PHDCCI, organized a “Webinar on Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace” on 31st July 2024.
Key topics included the role and responsibility of the Internal Committee (IC) and the importance of an external member, employer responsibilities and participation under the POSH law, and the role and functions of the Local Committee.
Shri Ashish Wig, Chair, HR IR Committee, PHDCCI, in his welcome address emphasized the cultural importance of women in India, symbolized by Goddesses like Saraswati, Lakshmi, and Durga. He highlighted the need for implementing the PoSH Act in all organizations and noted PHDCCI’s efforts in providing PoSH training.
The event featured Ms. Jyoti Grover, Chairperson, Local Complaints Committee (LCC), Gurugram District, Mr. Chaitanya Mathur, HR Head, Vital Strategies and Ms. Navmallika Gupta, Partner, Counsel Quest LLP.
Participants gained insights into the nuances of POSH laws, learned preventive measures to address potential issues, and stayed updated on legal obligations to safeguard their organizations.
The webinar was supported by Counsel Quest LLP as the knowledge partner and supported by Wig Brothers (C&C) Pvt. Ltd.
Approximately 40 participants attended the session,benefitting from the expertise shared.
