21st century will be the century of Asia and India will lead, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Hon’ble Minister of Law and Justice, at PHDCCI 119th Annual Session 2024
10th October 2024, NEW DELHI: Addressing the 119th Annual Session of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Hon’ble Minister of Law and Justice, Government of India, highlighted the strong democratic fundamentals and closely intertwined family system of India.
Further, he added that India is growing rapidly in terms of technology, innovation and philanthropy and other sectors. He said that the contributions of industrialists should be acknowledged and motivated PHDCCI to bring to the forefront the efforts of industrialists to bring pride to the country.
Shri Sanjeev Agrawal, President, PHDCCI, while delivering the welcome address he said that Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal is a stalwart in the political and legal landscape. He further added that he has brought a fresh perspective in the legal framework and played a vital role in building more transparency in the legal system of India.
He appreciated the prudent efforts undertaken under his guidance to make conducive changes in the business environment, including legal reforms, reducing the pendency of cases further, promoting digitalisation, and bolstering legal infrastructure.
Shri Hemant Jain, Senior Vice President of PHDCCI introduced Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, while highlighting his unwavering support towards India’s economic trajectory and strengthening India’s legal system further.
The contributions of various businesses were celebrated during the Annual Awards of Excellence in the gracious presence of Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal. Mr. Nikhil Chandra Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, Payal Polyplast Pvt. Ltd received the PHDCCI Outstanding Entrepreneur Award (General Category), Mr. Ajay Katyal, CEO & Director, Nature Pearls Pvt. Ltd. received the PHDCCI Outstanding Entrepreneur Award (MSME Category) and Mrs. Sujal Shah Sheth, Director, NewAge Fire Fighting Company Ltd. received the PHDCCI Outstanding Businesswoman Award.
Maruti Suzuki India Limited received the PHDCCI Outstanding Contribution to Social Welfare Award while Shri Ashok Kajaria Ji, Chairman & Managing Director, Kajaria Ceramics Limited and Former President, PHDCCI, received PHDCCI Lifetime Achievement.
Silver Salver was bestowed to Shri Sanjeev Agrawal, President, PHDCCI by the Hon’ble Guest of Honour. Dr Adrian Haack, Director, India Office, KAS was felicitated by Guest of Honour during the session.
The Valedictory and Business Award session of PHDCCI’s 119th Annual Session 2024 concluded with the remarks by Shri Saket Dalmia, Immediate Former President, PHDCCI and delivery of vote of thanks by Shri Rajeev Juneja, Vice President, PHDCCI.
