PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry Kashmir Delegation Holds Productive Meeting with Dr Syed Abid Rashid Shah (IAS) Secretary to the Government Health and Medical Education
A delegation from the PHDCCI Kashmir , led by Vicky Shaw, along with Co-chair Mr Himayu Wani along with Iqbal Fayaz Jan Deputy Director, engaged in an interactive meeting with Dr. Abid Shah, IAS, Secretary of Health and Medical Education J&K Government. The meeting was also attended by Sh. Nazim Zia Khan(IAS) Mission Director National Health Mission J&K. During the meeting, the delegation focused on the issue of pending hospital claims under the Ayushmann Bharat scheme. Dr. Shah provided an update, assuring that approximately ₹81 crore in liabilities has been cleared. He further stated that by the end of December, nearly all remaining pendencies would be resolved, contingent upon the availability of funds.
The PHDCCI expressed satisfaction regarding the quality of public services provided at government hospitals and emphasised the need for public private collaborations and also requested to enhance the Human Resource, paramedic staff in hospitals. Currently, the existing Human Resource is under substantial pressure due to the high public flow, which can impact the quality of care. Strengthening this workforce is crucial, especially as the residents of Jammu and Kashmir continue to place their trust in our healthcare system
